Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch technique that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve overall body health and function.

Your Central Nervous System (CNS) has a strong influence over your body’s health and well-being. Cranial Sacral System which is composed of the soft tissues and fluid that protect the brain and spinal cord, can have a very strong impact on the Central Nervous System.

As we go through our days, we encounter many forms of stress and strain that can affect our body’s tissue. The more stresses, the tighter the tissues become which can affect the efficiency of how the Central Nervous System functions. Over time, this restriction can affect the performance of the central nervous system as well as other systems it may interact with.

Craniosacral Therapy can detect such restrictions and help to correct them.  Using light touch, the practitioner uses their hands to evaluate the craniosacral system testing for ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord.  Soft-touch techniques are applied to release restrictions found helping to improve the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid throughout the craniosacral system.

Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.  When the environment around the brain and spinal cord are more balanced it helps the body’s ability to self-correct.

Craniosacral Therapy is able to help reduce symptoms for a wide variety of dysfunctions from chronic pain and sports injuries to stroke and neurological impairments.
